The Engineering Manager provides technical and people leadership for engineering activities supporting the manufacture of high-purity chemical products used in semiconductor applications. This role oversees process optimization, troubleshooting, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations. Description Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers through mentoring, performance management, and professional development initiatives. Provide day-to-day technical leadership supporting manufacturing operations and engineering activities. Oversee process engineering efforts supporting the safe and efficient production of high-purity chemicals and solvents. Drive process optimization initiatives focused on yield, throughput, cost reduction, and process capability improvements. Partner with Operations to troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to process, equipment, and quality issues. Manage raw material engineering activities including supplier support, material qualification, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with Supply Chain and Quality teams to improve supplier performance and material consistency. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing data-driven decision-making and structured problem-solving methodologies. Provide engineering leadership for capital projects, equipment upgrades, and capacity expansion efforts. Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Support process safety initiatives, hazard reviews, and incident investigations. Serve as a key technical interface between Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and R&D. Support new product introductions, process transfers, scale-up activities, and manufacturing readiness efforts. Maintain engineering standards, technical documentation, and knowledge management systems. Profile A successful Engineering Manager should have: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering discipline. 8-10 years of engineering experience within chemical manufacturing or related industries. 3-5 years of engineering leadership or supervisory experience. Experience supporting complex manufacturing processes and process improvement initiatives. Strong chemical process engineering and manufacturing operations knowledge. Experience conducting root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with raw material qualification and supplier technical engagement. Background supporting capital projects and process equipment implementation. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data-driven decision-making abilities. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Semiconductor materials or high-purity chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
