Our client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and documentation of specialized electronic hardware products. This individual will play a key role in product development activities, working closely with internal stakeholders to bring new products from concept through production while ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards. Client Details Our client is a well-established manufacturer of specialized electronic protection and filtering solutions serving a diverse customer base across commercial, industrial, and defense markets. Description Responsibilities: Design and develop new products and enhancements using SolidWorks and other engineering tools. Create and maintain technical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering documentation. Conduct engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and design reviews. Develop testing procedures and perform product validation activities. Build and evaluate prototypes for customer demonstrations and beta testing. Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support configuration management activities. Collaborate with manufacturing, product management, vendors, and test laboratories. Provide technical support for production, troubleshooting, and pre-sales initiatives. Lead technical discussions and communicate project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support projects through the full product development lifecycle, including scheduling, execution, and delivery. Profile Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2+ years of mechanical design engineering experience. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software. Experience creating technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. Hands-on experience with prototype development, testing, and validation. U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder. Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics, RF, connectors, EMI/EMC, or related industries is highly desirable. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO quality systems, lean manufacturing, and military standards is a plus. Comfortable working independently from limited documentation and conceptual requirements.
