The Quality Control Technician is a vital position at Freshpack. The motivated, qualified candidate will help keep the plant and its products 'in control' by insuring adherence to our internal procedures and protocols. Freshpack is a custom cheese packaging company that develops and innovates cheese products and packaging. Our products can be found in all 50 states and in most major retailers. Over the past 25 years, our team has grown from 15 to 290+ employees. It is an exciting time to join our team, as we are poised for substantial growth over the next 3-5 years. Duties/Responsibilities Bronze LevelObserve and reportWork practices of production and other employeesProper GMP's are being followedInspect in-process and finished products for quality and compliance to specificationsPerform other tasks and projects on an as needed basis Silver Level (includes Bronze Level duties)Adhere to the guidelines in the label compliance policyLog and report quality holds to the rest of the organizationReview incoming COA's for compliance to specificationsPerform product testing on residual O2Manage retain productsComplete pre-shipment reviews as needed Gold Level (includes Bronze and Silver Level duties)Perform equipment calibrationsMaintain product attributes libraryPerform security and storage verificationsSample prep for external laboratoriesAssist with training within the department Platinum Level (includes Bronze, Silver, and Gold Level duties)Assist with environmental swabbingCompose, analyze, and provide customers with COA'sPerform a series of additional audits and inspectionsAssist with ensuring product specifications are current and accurate Requirements: Required Skills/AbilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage timeDemonstrates attention to detailAbility to follow complex instructionsAbility to be highly effective with minimal supervisionBasic computer and email composing skills Education and ExperienceGED or equivalentExperience is not required.On the job training is provided.
