Position Description ! NP Mechanical, Inc. is a 100% Employee-Owned ESOP - long term retirement plan. This position requires working in person, with a standard schedule M-F from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The schedule is subject to change with the approval of direct supervisor. We are seeking a HVAC Service Technician to join our team! Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues and malfunctions.Repair or replace defective equipment components, electrical wiring, and controls.Install new HVAC systems and ensure they meet code requirements and and test system functionality and efficiency.Provide customers with technical advice and proper system operation guidance.Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.Ensure compliance with all safety standards and promptly to emergency service requests and after-hours calls.Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure optimal service delivery.Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques in the HVAC industry.Manage inventory of parts and tools, ensuring availability for service calls.Prepare and submit detailed service reports and job completion paperwork.Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.Participate in ongoing training and development programs. Benefits Eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision & Voluntary plans (after eligibility criteria is met. ) Paid Basic Life and AD&D at no cost 401k Retirement Plan ESOP Retirement Plan Sick Pay Position Requirements Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification in HVAC preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC service and maintenanceValid HVAC technician certification (e.g., EPA 608)Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematicsStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenanceFamiliarity with HVAC tools and equipment, including testing devicesAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC issues effectivelyKnowledge of safety standards and procedures related to HVAC systemsPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spacesValid driver's license with a clean driving recordExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed To maintain a safe workplace, employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment physical.
