Location: Flexible/Hybrid (Travel Required)
Reports To: Chief Compliance Officer

About the Role
Broad River Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Vice President of Risk Management to lead our enterprise-wide risk management program. This executive leadership position is responsible for developing and overseeing strategies that promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and organizational risk reduction across all rehabilitation service lines.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the Vice President will drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring the organization remains prepared for regulatory and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the organizations enterprise risk management strategy.
Oversee patient safety, incident investigations, and Root Cause Analyses.
Direct regulatory survey readiness and workplace safety initiatives, including OSHA compliance.
Monitor organizational risk trends and develop executive dashboards and reports.
Develop risk management policies, education, and prevention programs.
Partner with clinical, operational, compliance, and executive leaders to reduce organizational risk.
Lead and develop the Risk Management team.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Risk Management, Business, or a related healthcare field (Masters preferred).
8-10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
Experience in healthcare risk management, patient safety, quality improvement, or regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
CPHRM certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience in post-acute care or rehabilitation is preferred.
Ability to travel 20-30%.
