Manufacturing and Cable Assembly Technician

Manufacturing and Cable Assembly Technician, Bedford, MA area - Job Duties: Manufacturing and Cable Assembly Technician Responsibilities Perform box build assembly and box level testing as required. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot a variety of electro-mechanical products. Build and test cable assemblies and wire harnesses used in company products. Support engineering with prototype assembly and product development. Collaborate with engineering to implement product and process improvements. Maintain high quality workmanship while following established manufacturing procedures and quality standards. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing. Demonstrated ability to build products in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2 and Class 3 workmanship standards. IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certification preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required. Physical Requirements Ability to perform highly detailed assembly work, including work under a microscope or magnification when required. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to perform repetitive hand movements for fine assembly tasks. Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift materials and equipment as needed. 4 to 6 month initial contract assignment Background check and drug test are required.
