Physician - Emergency Medicine


Job Details:

  • Emergency Medicine board certification required

  • 12-hour shifts available for both AM (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and PM (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) coverage

  • Single physician coverage model with APP support

  • Facility has 10 emergency rooms and 1 triage space

  • Expected patient volume of approximately 1.6 patients per hour for the whole ED

  • Patient mix is mostly low acuity with occasional walk-in higher acuity cases

  • ED admission rate of approximately 5% or less

  • Nurse/APP triage available for lower acuity patients

  • Normal emergency room support staff provided

  • New graduates will not be considered; EM board certification is required

  • Primary Care Physicians with EM experience will not be considered

    This freestanding emergency room operates as part of a larger healthcare network that includes a Level 2 Trauma Center at its main facility. The emergency department is designed to efficiently handle a high volume of patients, with a focus on low to moderate acuity cases while maintaining the capability to manage higher acuity walk-in patients. The facility is supported by a team of experienced APP staff and provides a collaborative work environment with access to the resources of its affiliated main campus.
