Manufacturing Engineer - Wire & Cable Manufacturing - NJ

This position focuses on developing and improving manufacturing processes for cable and electronic assemblies. You will work cross-functionally to optimize production methods, enhance quality, and support new product introduction in a regulated environment. Description Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes for new and existing products Create detailed work instructions and assembly documentation Conduct design reviews to ensure manufacturability of new products Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to optimize operations Analyze production data to drive efficiency and process improvements Troubleshoot manufacturing, tooling, and test-related issues on the shop floor Support the design and validation of tooling, fixtures, and equipment Contribute to training plans and ensure adherence to quality standards Profile Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering 2+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing experience preferred Experience with cable assemblies, fibre optics, or electronic packaging is advantageous Knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 is beneficial Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and build instructions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must meet ITAR requirements to handle regulated information Job Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package Hands-on experience in a technically challenging manufacturing environment Exposure to cross-functional engineering and production teams Opportunities to contribute to process improvement and product development Career progression within a growing and specialized organization Supportive, team-oriented culture focused on quality and innovation MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
