A respected regional law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 1-4 years of litigation experience to join its growing litigation group, focusing on medical malpractice defense in Delaware. Key Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will play an active role in all phases of litigation, including but not limited to:

Managing and supporting a caseload of medical malpractice defense matters
Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and memoranda
Participating in and taking depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Preparing and responding to written discovery
Assisting with expert witness development and trial strategy
Attending court appearances, hearings, and trials as appropriate
Collaborating with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in Delaware (required)
1-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or civil defense
Demonstrated experience with depositions, discovery, and motion practice
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Attributes

Trial or courtroom experience
Exposure to expert witness coordination and case development
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Commitment to professional growth and advancement within the firm
